Chris Boerner, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercialization Officer, recently shared how he navigated the dot-com recession and made up for gaps in his own experience in order to make “the best of the situation” put before him. In April, Chris was a guest lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, unexpectedly via video. After speaking with the Wharton MBA students, he reflected on “3 Smart Questions (and 1 Piece of Unsolicited Advice)” that arose during the class. In the first quarter of 2020 alone, Bristol Myers Squibb filled more than 1,200 open positions.
