Recognizing and Reporting Recruitment Fraud
At Bristol Myers Squibb, the wellbeing, privacy and security of our job applicants and candidates is our highest priority. We are aware of recent fraudulent recruitment activity, including false job offers, money requests, and impersonation of our employees and talent acquisition professionals, and external recruiters falsely claiming to represent BMS.
Please be aware
Bristol Myers Squibb will never request money transfers, cryptocurrency, gift cards, fees, or any other form of payment at any stage of our application, interview or hiring process. Our email communications will always come from an official BMS email address (@bms.com). Be particularly cautious of unsolicited messages on social media platforms or personal email accounts claiming to represent Bristol Myers Squibb. BMS does not use publicly available email providers, e.g. Gmail and Hotmail, to communicate with prospective employees.
How to protect yourself
- Do not respond to requests for financial or personal information, including bank details or Social Security numbers, prior to receiving a verifiable job offer.
- Bristol Myers Squibb will not ask you to purchase equipment or pay fees of any kind.
- If you receive unsolicited outreach about a BMS role – whether someone is claiming to be a BMS employee or a third-party recruiter retained by BMS – verify the legitimacy of the contact directly through our official channels before engaging further. Do not use contact details provided by the recruiter themselves.
